An old house gets a new look

We wanted to take advantage of the beautiful view that we have. Our house was a little dated, and we wanted to open it up so we could see the golf course and all of the gorgeous scenery that we have here.

My wife, being an interior designer, had some ideas and had made some sketches. We worked with Hugh to focus that in on exactly what we were looking for. And they did a great job of just working with a few plans just enough to get through the architectural review committee here in the neighborhood and with the Brentwood codes commission.

We had a great time. I had known Hugh before, and just sitting down with him and bouncing ideas off him made it real easy for us to come up with a final concept. And then going through the whole process of how much is it going to cost and where’s the most value in your money? So it was easy to work with him.

Like a lot of projects, you think while they are already working here, let’s look at this. So, we enlarged the master bathroom as well. We got a much nicer bath area and closet area in the bathroom. In addition, that led to an extension out of the master into an area with a pergola. Which added a whole new look.
